Hello all!

I'm new to Innovator. I have been following page 18 of the "Online Help: Product Engineering" document using v.9.0.1 b.5430. The down-arrow icon that lists the availble fields for insert into a form (in this case the "Part" form), shows only those properties that do not have a "Class Path" field defined. The help file suggests that I should see the properties that apply to the sub-classes as well. Is there a missing step in the documentation, a known bug, or did I just do something horribly wrong? We are very excited by the possible improvements to our workflows that Aras offers. I'm hoping to get a system online in a few more days...

 Thank you!

Cheers, -Jonathan

Jonathan,

I have added a hotfix to the "Show Class Specific Fields" method under the Aras Community Projects page.  In the zip file there is a set of simple instructions to run the fix.  Once the method is updated the behavior should work as outlined.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I am evaluating ARAS and like the previous poster, cannot view properties in a sub class from the [Unused Properties] dropdown in the form editor, in particular, the part form.  I am using 9.1.0 Build 5488, IE7.   I have experienced endless crashes at the point of saving the form.  I tried work arounds, creating the object and associating it, but always trouble.. I have tried the suggested Hotfix, despite being out of version, no go.  I am a little frustrated as I can see the beauty of it all, but can not acheive the results.  Once I put a Class path in the property, the property is not available to the form.  I have added 2 properties in Part, added them in the form successfully, returned to add the class path to the property, back to the form to successfully change their visability to show and not show when of type Component.  That is fine until I add another property to the sub class, or even the class itself.  Saving any changes to the form is then impossible.

One always hopes that one has not overlooked the obvious.  Any help is appreciated.

Regards

Darren Hayes

Further to that post, it seems as though it is not my parameter at all, it is the Form editor.  I have tried several dozen configuations and I seem to always end up terminating the windows handler through lack of resouces.  This is a concern as I seem to have this problem on multiple installations of ARAS 9.1 and multiple clients running a variety of brousers and configurations.

Anyone else? or am I unique and as thick as I always thought I was?

Thanks Rob!

"known issue (011982) documented in the 9.1.0 Release Notes (available at http://www.aras.com/support/documentation/)"

Everyone should be alerted to this, it gave me so much grief.
