convert PR to ECR to ECN

Hi, is there a way to convert the PR to an ECR and hence an ECN? On one of the scenario file ARAS says it could, but I just cannot find this option from my system. Mine is 9.0.1. Thanks in advance.

I wrote the add-on package that does what you're looking for, but I haven't yet posted it to the Project area.  I'll try to get it up there this week and let let you know when it's available.

Sorry for the delay.  The package is now posted as "Change Management Actions" under Solution Add-Ons in the Projects area of this web site.  Good luck, and let me know how it works out.

Thanks Rob for the kind help. today we tried to upload the package through the solutionupgrade tool. I got error message at the step 9 of 14, saying the action already exists. Mine is a version 9.0.1. Can you please give a hint on this?

Are you sure the package isn't already loaded?  I'm not sure why else you'd get that error.  Try using Merge mode on the Import tool -- that should update the existing action instead of trying to add it as a new item.

Rob, we need your help here.

 We have tried the function on our workflow from ECR to ECN. However we have encountered two major issues:

 

1) when we check-out/check-in document to update, the system always give me an error message that the effective date needs to be later than the release date even if I purposely set the effective date to be 2wks later than the release date;

2) the checked-in document and the original document were mis-placed, meaning revA has revB file and vice versa;

 

None of these happened when we are not using this convert function. Can you please give me a hint of where I should look into? Thanks.

Hi, im doing a research about ARAS and i need to know what is PR, ECR and ECN cause i need to know all i can find about the "Change Management Action" AddOn. Could you please give an idea (as detail as you can) Thanks!!
