We have a requirement to allow for documents to be discontinued and for parts to be obsolete. To date I have not been able to get the method to promote affected items to include Discontinued or Obsolete, the ECN will complete and simply ignore the affected items with action set to Discontinued or Obsolete.

Has anyone had a similar requirement? If so who did you handle the change of state for the items.

In our lifecycle map I have a state called discontinued for documents with paths from released and In Change both pointing to Discontinued. I can manually promote the item to this new state and the permissions are properly setup, but the ECN method does not work.
