Yoann's Original Post:
Hi Aras Innovator Community,
Due to our intense work on getting schools evaluating Aras Innovator and
having the future engineers and IT admins working on the Enterprise
Open Source PLM Solution, we have now the opportunity to get them to
work on a development basis and not only to have them as users.
They see the potential of it and some schools are calling for project
Specs.
So it might be steeling some of our precious consulting activity but i'm
sure it is for the best of all and it's part of the Open Source
Business model that we all decided to work with (even if many
organisation in the community are not delivering open source).
Our request is the following: we would like to gather specs or even just
short development ideas.
To do that, we would like to use our codeplex platform to stay in a
microsoft - open source environment. during the next weeks and months,
by registering on codeplex you'll be able to add projects and to vote
for projects.
The codeplex page is : http://prodeos.codexplex.com
To create a project, you go on the Issue Tracker Tab and start creating a
new proposed feature as started in the following screenshot (make sure
you start your message with "WishList"
www.prodeos.fr/.../AddProject.png )
The best 8 to 12 projects will be proposed to IT development schools for
a semester projects maid by three studients everything will be open
source and published on Aras Project Page.
The codeplex portal is ready to get your ideas developped, Let me know
if you have any questions.
