I am attempting to install Ara Innovator. I already have the Aras license key, IIS installed and running, .net 2.0 and .net 1.1(both for some reason?), and have MySQL 5.0.4 installed and running. I am at the point in the Innovator installation where I am asked if I want to create a new database or use an existing one. I get the error message "sql server does not exist or acces is denied" error message no matter what I do. What am I missing. I didn't see any other posts here about this, so I checked MSDN and it listed so many reason for this error message, that now I have information overload. I was hoping somone could explain to me what this error meassage means, as it relate to Aras. If your wondering why this is possibly so easy, it is because(as the title says) I am just your average Joe trying to help out an IT professional who is currently too busy to help get this software setup at the company I work for. Any help is appreciated. thanks.

Hi suzbandit987, and welcome to the forums.
Aras Innovator requires Microsoft SQL Server, and does not currently support MySQL.
SQL Server Express 2005 is avalaible from Microsoft's website as a free download, if you do not have a full version available. We provide a link from our downloads page.

Hope this helps,
Bill

Doh..(in the voice of homer simpson)!!
Details Details. Apparently I cannot read. I just had MySQL installed for other things and assumed it would do the trick. Well, I hope this is my only problem. Thanks for the (obvious) help.
