Hi,
To answer to the growing interest for the standards, I started to implement the AP214 STEP standard into an ARAS innovator instance. I'm helped by PRODEOS and we are following the following steps :
a) To translate some parts of the AP214 into UML diagrams because the STEP oriented express langage is not very known while UML is well known.
b) To implement the model into ARAS innovator by creating new itemtypes, new relationships, new lists etc. In fact by creating an AP214 data model as complete as possible.
c) To verify the model by using the AML to UML tool. If we work well, the UML model extracted by this tool has to be the same as the model defined in the step a)
We are working on some basic STEP units of functionnalities dealing with Part identification, BOM and documents management etc.
If you have worked in similar projects, your help will be welcome !
