I am in the process of trying to deploy Aras to a large amount of users to use on a project. My question is this: Is there an easy way to configure clients? Right now, I am looking at having each user perform the following tasks:
1. IE 6 & IE 7 Users - Run sdns config tool, Add Aras website to trusted sites in "Internet Options"
2. IE 8 Users - Run sdns config tool, Add Aras website to trusted sites in "Internet Options", Install Firefox, Install IE Tab, Configure IE Tab
Even this is already fighting me, as I am finding that certain users are getting denied access to install Active X components.
I was just wondering if anyone out there has developed some "tried and true" methodology for setting up clients....or if my little list here is pretty much it. Thanks for the help!
