Hi,

Is there a way to make the "structure browser" show additional information such as Item State (preliminary, released, superseeded)?

Thanks.

Hi,

That's a very good question...

I would like to see the NAMES of my parts in the structure browser.  Without the names I find it useless, unreadable.

 Somebody knows ?

Thanks.

Vince,

I looked at it some more and the HTML page which is the StructureBrowser seem to be calling an Aras internal component ("Aras.Server.Core.StructureBrowser"), which means this is in the core and always returns a fixed set of attributes for each item.

If I'm not mistaken - I think I've heard somewhere that Aras plans to change this and make the structure browser more flexible in future releases.

Thank you Sagi.

It is interesting to realize that the structure browser is the first "tool" I am interested in and that it is not yet flexible...

I hope Aras will improve it soon.

Sagi,

You are the first person I can talk to concerning these topics, and I don't have a lot of IT knowledge.

So I have a question : if I want to download the add-ons from Aras, for example Multi-Level BOM Tool, what is the procedure ? Do I need to do it on my client PC or on the server ? (I can't do it myself on the server)

And what to do exactly  with these xml files ? Copy files in a folder ? If so where exactly ?

Thanks

Hey Vince,

Follow this link to see an answer:http://www.aras.com/Community/forums/p/588/1687.aspx

You can usually find answers to FAQ's in the Aras Forums so use the search capabilities.
