which port do you use? In my case only port 587 worked for SMPT emails, not port 465 and of course not 25. In my case in the past also some firewall settings blocked the emails.

Same , I am also using port 587.

I remember I used a simple test Method for checking the SMPT server connection and I always got the STARTTLS error message. But sending emails from Innovator it self worked. 
Does it work when you use the unsecure variant without encryption (just for testing)?

Have you asked Aras support already? As you mention Aras 22 you obviously have a subscription.

I changed "disabled_operating_parameter"  tag to "operating_parameter" in config file and then mail log is generated in Innovator > Innovator > Server > Temp folder.. 

Could you please tell where I need to change port number exactly , is it with IIS server or in Aras.

That´s a good question, but unfortunately. I don´t know the answer. In the past there were no option to specify a port number in Aras and it was fixed to port 25.

Maybe this works for you?  Query on SMTP set up

In Innovatorconfig file , I updated Mail SMTPServer="127.0.0.1" . Is this correct way ?

Regarding InnovatorConfig typically you use the SMPT address like  smtp.myserver.com . 

I am not sure if the web.config modification will still work your Aras 22. Your version uses .NET core framework and this one might require something similar in a appsettings.json

But you really should ask Aras for this one. According to your profile you work for a priority customer, so they definitely will help you fast.

I will change innovatorconfig file for smtp address. 

Can you tell me, which documentation you have found?

My hint regarding appsettings.json was just a guess. I didn´t know that there is some official document about it.

Hi, Nope it was not in document and it was typing error.

Now, I am getting different error.

Failed to send an email: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first

Have you tried this one:

In older Innovator versions it wasn´t possible to specify the port in the InnovatorServerConfig. But not it´s even mentioned in the install guide

Nope , I am not configured. can you explain this in detail that would helpful for me. In release 22, it is possible.

I made changes in 

1. Innovator > Innovator > web config file --> <mailSettings> tag
2. InnovatorServerConfig file --> <Mail SMTPServer="abc.com"/>
