Business Intelligence (BI) refers to any tool, technology, software, practice, skill, or anything else, a business uses to help itself understand and analyze information and data pertaining to itself.  BI can be used for predictive modeling, historical analysis, or to look at current trends in order to facilitate decision-making for the business.
