CAE
Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) is the use of computer-based tools to support the engineering process. CAE tools (software) can be used for activities like analyzing component durability and running simulations on CAD models. However, CAE tools do not encompass the form and design of the product; they instead work in conjunction with a CAD system which provides that information.
