PDM

Product Data Management (PDM) is the practice of using software and/or other tools to organize, track, and control data related to a product.  A PDM system can serve as a central knowledge hub for all parties concerned with the product because it provides: product history, specifications, materials for production, and other key information about the product.  PDM is the predecessor to PLM.
