Procurement
Procurement is an industry term for the acquisition of goods or services. It can also refer to the department in an organization that performs these duties. Procurement may refer to either direct procurement, the acquisition of resources directly related to the production of a product, or indirect procurement, non-strategic resources such as office supplies for the business. Procurement and direct procurement are the focus of Supply Chain Management.
