The implementation steps shall enable a phased approach across 2010-2012.
Meets requirement. The Aras Corp. licensing policy (open source) allows greater flexibility in implementation rollout strategies. Without worrying about the purchase of software licenses and capital budgets, the implementation phases can be aligned with end-user requirements.
Aras Innovator framework is a Model-based SOA (service oriented architecture). Modeling (rather than hard-coded object programming) allows great flexibility to evolve the system definition over time. Aras recommends that customers take advantage of this flexibility through the use of multi-phase projects. Later phases can build-upon and even modify the implementation details of the earlier phases, without the risk of data loss or expensive re-programming.
What is the process for loading data into the solution?
Data can be loaded as a series of Web Services calls. In other words, any application that can send XML streams to the Aras Innovator server will load data. To simplify the data loading process, especially for initial data loads, Aras Corp. provides a Batchloader Utility to Subscribers. The Batchloader can rapidly load data from Text files (comma or tab delimeted data).
