i have one item type QDM having field which datatype is date and pattern is shortdate

i select 4/28/2017 date where 4 is month , 28 is day

and save item

then i open sql server

Can you confirm the time zone of the client, and whether there is a corporate time zone set in the database? I believe the discrepancy you are seeing is related to how the Aras client converts the client machine date/time to UTC when it is stored in the database.
