I know, but the root problem is not that you can or can't change the file itemtype. I think if you absolutely want to do so, you should connect as root to Innovator (same password, not recommanded though)

Thanks for the response but maybe I wasn't clear enough. I'm not talking about an actual file rather the File ItemType itself. It won't let me modify that. I get an error message that says I have insufficient permissions to update when I try to edit the ItemType.

I don't think we really have a file update permission, every time you upload a file, either the parent is versionnable and it is just an upload, or it is not versionnable and in this case, it is an upload and a deletion of the other file which won't be attached to anything.
