Why you want to understand the sequence? want to modify any code? What is your requirement?

definition column contains rule which you have enter in rule editor with xml format (condition is converting in to xml tag).

have you asked Aras support already?

I could use Release 23, but I don´t have enough sample data right now. VM is based on database and codetree code. And it´s huge!

I made a 1 minute check.
Method "vm_updateDictionaryItemRels" does something XML related with "definition" when you update something.
Method "vm_variabilityScopeBuilder" seems to be used to display the stuff.

But my guess is that a lot is happening in the codetree.

Definitely ask support first!

The version which you have with you, if you can investigate on that and let me know...even that would also be good.

Aras unfortunately doesn´t provide an Innovator version anymore that I can use to check these kind of topics. I like your question, I always wanted to do more with VM.

Maybe partners or other subscribers in this forum can help out?

Which Innovator version do you use? Variant Management changed a lot recently.
