 On Part Item , On After Update Server Event based on the property Values update the Related Document Property.

&lt;p&gt;your question is a bit hard to understand, but I think I can follow your question.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You update your related item via Method. This way you use update/edit. This one already locks/unlocks the item for a short amount of time.&lt;/p&gt;
