Do you just want to prevent users from editing an item? If that&amp;#39;s the case, you can uncheck &amp;quot;Update&amp;quot; for one or more identities in the ItemType&amp;#39;s permission item. Or if you want to prevent users from editing any item in a specific lifecycle state, you can select the &amp;quot;Not Lockable&amp;quot; option for the state in the lifecycle map editor.
