Hello -
I am using a .Net web service with help from the Aras API to send records to Aras. The process is working fairly good except for the the fact that several times a day I will get a "deadlock" error when the service is trying to update/insert an Item (part).
The full message is as follows: "Transaction (Process ID 69) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction."
With some help from Google, I think I understand what is occurring, but I'm not sure how to fix it. Is there something I need to add to my web service (more code) to catch this, or is there something we can do to our SQL server/database to correct this?
We are on Aras Innovator version 11.0 SP8
