Are you ready to learn about one of the most important dates in African American history? Let us talk about Juneteenth, the holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. A day to reflect on our history, honor the resilience of the African American community and commit to creating a more just and equitable future for all.

The history of Juneteenth goes back to June 19, 1865, when Major General Gordon Granger and his Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the end of slavery. It had been two years since President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, declaring that all enslaved people in the Confederate States "shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free." However, the news of their freedom was slow to reach Texas, a remote and isolated state. When General Granger arrived in Galveston and read General Order No. 3, which proclaimed "all slaves are free," it was a moment of joy and celebration for African Americans in Texas.

Over time, the celebration of Juneteenth spread beyond Texas and became a national holiday. It is now celebrated in cities and towns across the United States with parades, festivals, and other community events. ACE 2023: Your Journey to Reimagine Your Possibilities

ACE 2023 has come and gone! It was an inspiring and collaborative experience for all attendees. Industry leaders, decision-makers, analysts, and Aras partners gathered in Orlando, FL, on May 2-3 for a premier PLM conference, which explored future technology trends and how leveraging PLM solutions can improve business outcomes and prepare organizations for the challenges of tomorrow.

The event was kicked off by Aras CEO, Roque Martin, who welcomed the community back to the first in-person gathering in North America after 4 years.

The event featured exclusive training courses, dozens of presentations from thought leaders, and multiple networking opportunities. Attendees gained valuable insights into transforming how their organizations design, build, and operate complex products through the sharing of digitalization journeys.

Keynotes from industry experts, analysts, and other subject matter experts like Aras customers Ocado Group, Imperial Brands, the United States Postal Service, and industry leading research firm CIMdata touched on leading industry trends and provided valuable insights into how to transform the way organizations conduct business. Break-out presentations from Aras and other customers also provided valuable insights into how to get the most out of the Aras Innovator platform.

On day one of the event, Microsoft and Aras made a major partnership announcement – Aras Enterprise SaaS is now available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, an online store providing applications and services for use on Azure. Aras’ customers can now take advantage of the productive and trusted Azure cloud platform, with streamlined deployment and management. Additionally, the news that Aras is now a Microsoft Cloud Partner was welcomed by all.

Aras CTO, Rob McAveney outlined the Aras vision and provided attendees with a view into what’s ahead for Aras, and how the community can leverage the Aras vision to stay competitive in the current business climate, keep up with changing business models, new regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies. John Sperling, Aras’ senior VP of product management, outlined the product roadmap, exploring how the Aras Innovator PLM platform will deliver solutions and continuous updates in the immediate and near future.

Some highlights of the event include “A Day in the life of Armadillo Robots,” which provided attendees with a behind-the-scenes look at how the virtual Armadillo Robots designed, built, and operated for scale. This 2-day session gave attendees valuable insights into the digitalization journey of complex products and how leveraging PLM solutions can help improve outcomes.

CEO Roque Martin hosted a panel discussion featuring strategic partners Microsoft, AVEVA, and Ansys. This provided attendees with a unique opportunity to learn about the latest trends in digitalization and understand how these partners are leveraging the Aras platform to bring its key underlying technologies to a wider audience. Roque proudly stated, “ACE 2023 was an extraordinary success, bringing together industry leaders and our vibrant community to explore future trends, collaborate, and unleash the full potential of PLM solutions. It was a true testament to our commitment to driving innovation and empowering organizations to overcome the challenges of tomorrow.”

Product demos of the Aras Innovator platform allowed attendees to get a first-hand look at the power and versatility of this cutting-edge PLM solution. These demos provided valuable insights into how the Aras Innovator platform can help organizations streamline their processes, reduce costs, and improve outcomes.
As Bill Turner, Aras VP of quality and support, noted,

"The socialization at the event provided attendees with ample opportunities to ask questions they may not have known they had," Turner continued. "As always, ACE provided a lot of opportunities to answer questions people did not know they wanted to ask, just because I talked to them."

Hands-on training classes, led by Aras experts, gave attendees practical experience with the Aras Innovator platform allowing attendees to see its power and versatility, while networking receptions provided multiple opportunities to connect with connect with peers and build new relationships. Aras in the Round was a highlight of the event. This is an open, unscripted, and unfiltered session where attendees have the opportunity to ask Roque and Rob any questions that come to mind. It is a true display of what Aras means when they talk about being “open.”

Overall, ACE 2023 was an excellent opportunity for attendees to connect with Aras and other industry leaders, gain valuable insights into future technology trends, and learn how to leverage PLM solutions to improve their business outcomes. With valuable training courses, thought-provoking presentations, and multiple networking opportunities, ACE 2023 was a resounding success.

ACE 2023 opened the door to the possibilities of facing the future and provided attendees with the tools needed to manage uncertainties and prepare for future scaling. Together, we reimagined our possibilities.
