Fixed/Float Latest vs Effective

Hello, I am desiring in most applications to float to effective or released generations rather than latest generations. This results in released engineering BOM's children components floating to the latest generation, which may be preliminary. I have preliminary parts present in a released baseline while the child component is changing as such. Is there a way to configure to float to the "released" or "effective" not "latest" generation? I want a released BOM with a child under change to show the released, effective, generation "in change" not show the "preliminary" part. Am I seeing preliminary parts in the BOM relationship of a released assembly simply because I have the rights to see that generation? Or is there a specific PLM/Aras intent to have released assemblies contain unreleased/preliminary components by floating to latest generation in this relationship? Sample Data for V11 SP12

The sample data posted only allows sample data for V11 SP9. any update to when we get SP12 sample data?

Sample Database 11 SP9

I just installed Innovator 11 SP12. The only download for the sample database is 11 SP9. I get an error "You are attempting to install the sample database to Aras Innovator 11.0 SP12. The sample database requires Aras Innovator 11.0 SP9" when I try and install the sample db. I guess I could hack the config file and change sp12 to sp9. Install the db then change it back. Other options? J
