When calling a C# Method from within another C# method, does the called method finish first or are they async?

As title,

If I have a server method:

Item anItem = inn.getItemById("anItem", "1");

anItem.apply("second_method");

.... other processing

Does the "other processing" execute right away, or does it wait for anItem.apply() to finish?

Unlocking an Item with a Method when locked by a User

Hello,

I am attempting to unlock an item when an user has the item locked out for editing and cannot seem to find where to start.

I am doing it on the server side with C#. I have tried Item unlockItem(). Also I have tried AML below.

Item result_unlock = inn.applyAML(my_aml_unlock);
if(result_unlock.isError()) {return inn.newError("result_unlock Error: " + result_unlock.getErrorDetail());}

Basically I am trying to re-create what happens when a user is working on an item, then an admin locks their item (takes it away) then once they try to click, save, discard, etc it puts them into a core lock state.

I understand if I get this to work correctly I will be giving the user that had it locked a core lock ever. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Does anybody know if it's possible to disable the sorting of a few columns in a relationship grid?

My guess is that the change should be done somewhere in the CodeTree, but I'm not sure where.

Calling "Run Search" button by code

Hi, is it possible to call the "Run search" button in a method?

I have an action that updates the quantities and price of various records, but it does not update it on the screen.
It only updates the data on the screen if the line to be modified has been chosen, but this action, just by choosing a line, already updates all the orders that hang from it, so it is not necessary to select all the lines.

I have tried trying to update each time I edit the Itemtype with "aras.uiReShowItem(desgl.getID(), desgl.getID());", but it does not update the data on the screen.

But when the process ends ARAS automatically updates the data on the screen of the selected lines, or if I press the "run search" button it also updates.

For example, if I launch the action here, the prices of the 4 lines would be updated in the database, but by only having 2 selected, on the screen, it would only show me the change of the 2 selected.

Set focus on a property in a relationship grid

Hello,

I have method attached to OnEditFinish of the property sort_order of the Part BOM relationship. The goal is to check if the property is filled and if no, to throw an error. After the display of the error, I want to set back the focus to the property so that the user can enter a value there. Is it possible to achieve that?

My Aras version is 12SP18.

I tried using the gridApplet but I couldn't find a function that can be used to achieve my goal.

Refreshing of Main Search Grid after creating a new revision

Hello,

Is there a way to refresh the Main Search Grid after creating a new revision of an Item?

I have an action 'Create New Revision' which has a method On Complete which refreshes the Item. For that case I'm using 'parent.onRefresh()'. The method works properly when the Item is opened and the user clicks on the Action. But it fails when the Action is triggered from the Main Search Grid.

Hide a Relationship Grid Column

I have a requirement to hide relationship grid column based on classification. I looked through the community and only found the following as an example fix but it did not work for me.

Hide Column:

parent.findCurrentRelationshipsTab().document.getElementById('gridTD').children[1].getElementsByTagName('th')[ColumnIndex].setAttribute('style','display:none;');

All it did in Innovator 12 is hide the Header cell for that particular item.

Hopefully, someone has attempted to do this from Innovator 12?

Show Export to Excel button in Tree Grid View Aras 11SP15

Hello,

Is there a way to add the button Export to Excel in a Tree Grid View result? I'm working on Aras 11SP15.

I saw that this feature is available by default in Aras 12SP01. I tried to add it through ItemType (for example Part) -> Client Style -> Click on existing related item -> Presentation Configuration but I didn't succeed.

Any kind of help would be appreciate.
