Installation of packages on free version 23

I installed free version 23 and then tried to install packages with Aras Update 1.21, the latest downloadable version

there seems to be an error in the code such that you have to chose Aras/Innovator/Innovator as the install path otherwise the version number check of rev.inc does not work

or they have changed the correct install path from Aras/Innovator which is what is cited in the documentation

I cannot install any package on teh free version with Aras Update 1.21

has anyone had a similar or different experience?

has anyone built a Python binding for IOM.dll

A while ago Jason Morgan shared that he had started a Python binding for the IOM.dll

has anyone taken this further - to support python programs in the desktop

changing an existing Aras 12 installation

I wanted to install a second instance and code tree of Aras innovator12, like to have a dev server and a test server, so I followed the instructions to run changeGUID and indeed got the possibility to install a new instance of innovator with innovatorsetup

how do I edit the existing instance as we now have a problem with it, I tried to run the original installer and it took me to the new instance? I tried to run changeGUID again but it still took me to the new installation?

thanks for any help or point to further documentation
