pagination toolbar vibrating (weird beahavior)

I'm having issue with the toolbars you can find at the bottom of relationship tabs on different types of items this toolbar help navigate through the different pages of related items. The issue is visual, the toolbar is vibrating up and down really fast. i get this behaviour when i open an item that has relationship tabswhen i first click a tab the tool bar is vibrating but if clik an other one and go back at the first it stops vibrating. other thing is when the vibration is happening at certain zoom level (vibrating from 67% to 75% ).

drop down field making group box show verticaly

hello,

i've a form with a group boxand in this group box are other boxes.let's take one of this second level box, tolerance for expample contains two text fields and a checkbox (the group box is set to horizontal). Now i want to change one of the text fields with a drop down but when i do so the 3 fields of the box align vertically and i cant move the field even when in relative position mode.

essentially what i want isthe same as the left image but with the second text field of each row replaced by a drop down

export for existing items

hello,

i have been diving into packaging and exports lately but there is something i can't figure out. it might seem easy but it's not said clearly anywhere i looked.

So, let say i customize an already existing item like Parts, i had actions, modify the forms and i want to export my work

the next step i need to follow are:

1)since itemType Part is in package "com.aras.innovator.solution.PLM" i had to this package the actions, methods, forms and all items that i could have added to the part item types.

2)then using the aras export tool i can either export the whole package or only the things i just added to the package.

please tell me if i'm right wrong or if i'm lacking some part.

displaying clicable part list

Hello,

My goal is to display on a tab a list of part (clicable to get to the part itself). I want to display the parts that have a relationship with a specific Project.

From what i've seen the tree grid view might be a good way to do it. Is it really ? Do you know an easier way.

how to set property for propery with data type "object"?

hello

i have added a property on the Project item type. this property is "object" data type

and i simply wanted to know if it is possible to programatically set this property.

any information about this topic would really help me

for now i have tried to set it with this little test method that i run on a project action :

after running this method i get really strange result , first the field associated to my property isn't updated even when i quit and reload the project and i get some locking errors if i try to modify it again

get item instance(context item) on before add

hello

I'm developping a method that is going to be trigered by a server event on before Add/update .The method needs to retrieve the inputs entered by the user creating the item.

problem is when i was first testing this method. I tested it with an already created object that i got by keyed name but in reality the item is not yet created and i need to retrieve the instance of the object in my method to be able to execute my logic.

i've tried this :

Item template = inn.getItemById("ZFCcontrainteTemplate", this.getID());

but got this error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

the method is c# server side

obviously i feel like the this.getID is not suficent to point to the instance of the item being created but i have really no idea where to look for that so if you have any information that might help me it would be much apreciated.

xproperty not showing on the database

hello,

i have parts classified using xclassification i set some xproperty and i could acces the value of these properties via a request on the data base in the table [XPROPERTYVALUES](a column of this table represents an x property ).

now i want to add more xproperties, but when i do and try to view it in the db like i used to do there is no new column with the name of the props i just created.

Other thing that i found weird, in the innovator platform i can create parts and set a value for the new xprops. i can also query part using these props as criteria.(so every thing seems to work platform wise)

if someone has any idea of why i can't find the xprops i created where i used to find the other ones( xpropertyvalues table) let me know.

(i tried refreshing the db but it did'nt change anything or maybe i did'nt refresh it the good way but i don't know an other one)

don't hesitate to ask me if somthing seems unclear or if i forgot to specify something.

checking fields before creating an item

hello,

i have created an itemtype, when i create an item of this type the forms contains couples of field. for each couples i need to check if one of the item as a value the other one should too.

i had an idea of using a method on before add, check if the couples respect the rule i want and if not i want to cancel the creation of the part and have the user fix the missing value.

let me know if you think of a beter way or if u know how to cancel the creation of an item on an on before add event.

get property list from item type, issue reading the result item

i want to get a list of names of propreties that start a certain way 'z%'. i've found aml that was supposed to do it, i' made an iom code to recrate that aml (actually creates the right aml). But what i get is only one item, so i want to know if the aml is actually good or if there is a specific way to get the properties from that one item i get.

how to retrieve checkbox value from form ?

hello,

i have a form that needs to get user inputs. On this form there are text fields, check boxes and a validate button that runs the logic to retrive the inputs. I'm able to retrieve the text fields with a method that runs on the click of the validate button.

the code that works for the text fields:

var tolerance = getFieldByName("tolerance").getElementsByTagName("input")[0].value;

but the value i get when i use this same code with a checkbox is always " on " no matter if i tic the checkbox or not.
