What you will do:

You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of our US business, processing and recording sales transactions and issuance of software license keys. Reporting to the CFO out of our Andover Headquarters, this is a hands-on position that requires a detail-oriented and energetic individual who can embrace change and enjoys a fast paced challenging environment.   

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly financial close, including analysis of balance sheet and income statements, account reconciliations and issue resolution

  • Process customer sales orders, generate invoices (subscription and consulting) and determine revenue recognition

  • Hand-on processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions, including employee expense reports​

  • Maintain fixed assets including monthly depreciation

  • Process sales tax filings

  • Manage the preparation for external audits, including audit-ready work paper reconciliations of balance sheet and general ledger accounts

  • Drive process improvements

  • Other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

Essential Skills and Characteristics:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 4+​ years of accounting experience

  • Strong proficiency in computer skills and software applications including Quickbooks and Microsoft suite products; in particular Excel and Word.

  • Experience with subscription and consulting business models

  • Excellent organizational, time management and communications skills

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, agile and collaborative start-up

  • Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence

  • Ability to work in an independent, self-directed manner as well as in a team environment
