The Global Events Manager plays a leading role within the corporate marketing team, helping to shape the Aras brand and customer experience for our valued community.  In this role you will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and management of Aras’ user conference, ACE, as well as all other corporate marketing driven programs and events. This is an opportunity for a seasoned and highly creative professional with proven success in developing and executing marketing programs and events at both the strategic and tactical levels. You will be the hands-on operational lead in the day-to-day management and execution of all aspects of the event program planning, including budgeting, audience acquisition, team and vendor management, contract management, and analysis and reporting.

What you’ll do

  • Create and execute the company’s corporate event strategy for a wide variety of global programs and webinars, including global user conference
  • Identify overarching event agenda, programs, and experiences required to support strategy and overall attendee goals and experience
  • Work with Product Management, Product Marketing and other technical/functional leaders to develop content and agendas
  • Drive internal cross-functional and cross-geo teams to successfully execute the event strategy and objectives
  • In collaboration with cross functional teams, develop audience acquisition plans and execute promotional campaigns to drive attendance to the global conference and corporate events
  • Working with Product Marketing and others, plan and produce webinar series, including identifying strategy, message, audience and other details
  • Provide framework, guidance and support for international conferences
  • Create, guide, and manage a comprehensive project timeline for internal stakeholders and vendors; communicate important milestone deadlines to team weekly
  • Act as the conduit and consultant for all event production and management, including audio/visual, internet, mobile apps, registration, supplier management and all other aspects
  • Provide expertise and oversight on marketing trends, registration trends, tools, and processes to evolve the company’s programs and events
  • Prepare and manage program budgets and meet budget requirements through strategic recommendations, operational efficiencies and vendor contract negotiations
  • Monitor, measure, and report event implementation and results

 What you need

  • 7-15 years of experience in successful event management experience, in a B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment
  • Proven leadership and management expertise in bringing together large internal and external teams to produce a world class event
  • Strong working knowledge creating customer experiences, event management, production, communications strategies and digital engagement required 
  • Ability to develop relationships and interact with all levels of management, including field leadership and external vendors, to deliver reliable, consistent, effective communications and results
  • Ability to manage complete budgets and provide exceptional tracking and monitoring; ability to understand the big picture while still attending to important details
  • Creative thinker with solid ability to problem solve and work independently in a changing and fluid environment
  • Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing large vendor relationships
  • General knowledge of suppliers, new technologies, and industry standards
  • Experience with event management software applications (ex: CVENT), mobile apps, and business software applications (CRM, Marketing Automation, MS-Office)
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and deliver high quality results
  • Positive attitude, enthusiastic and highly motivated
  • Ability to travel (~20%)
  • BA/BS in business or equivalent
