MRO Solution Consultant

Aras is an innovative, global software company that provides advanced Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software solutions to business customers worldwide including General Motors, Airbus, Microsoft, Motorola, General Electric, Honda, and more. With many significant recent wins we are growing fast, and need an expert that can assist with executing current and future MRO Projects.


Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis and documentation of customer requirements through the delivery of workshops and interviews
    • Develop requirements specifications, Use Cases, and functional specifications
    • Transform customer requirements to technical solutions through a thorough understanding of the Aras Innovator suite of tools
    • Lead the creation of project deliverables including both technical and business elements
  • Facilitate delivery projects with minimal supervision
    • Provide guidance for business problems as it relates to the PLM & MRO activities and can develop functional solutions to solve those problems
    • Build solutions using Aras Innovator and Aras MRO that meet customer expectations
    • Develop test scripts and documentation (use cases, business requirements, and functional specifications)
    • Lead development resources (onshore and offshore) in the configuration and development of software solutions
    • Light development coding of the solution as necessary
    • Facilitate training and solution demonstrations with the customer base


  • Professionally interact and communicate with customers and internal team members
  • Clearly demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Have a thorough understanding of enterprise application deployment methodologies, preferable PLM and MRO applications
  • Must be able to write clear, understandable requirement specifications, statements of work, functional specification documents, data models, and use cases
  • Familiar with software deployment, SQL, and migration techniques
  • Demonstrated experience with data modeling techniques, data migration techniques SQL Server, SQL Scripting, and Microsoft Office products.  

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of Aviation MRO deployment experience with any commercial MRO software
  • Experience in one or more of the following verticals: Automotive, Aerospace and Defense, Manufacturing
  • (Industrial, Job Shop, Mass Production), Shipbuilding, Railroad or Oil & Gas with special emphasis in the aftermarket MRO and managing asset maintenance activities,
  • Industry knowledge of any of the following: Engineering change processes and best practices (CMII, CMPIC), phase gate project management, quality systems processes, requirements management, DFMEA, PFMEA, CAPA, manufacturing process planning, MRO
  • Must be able to travel 50% with frequent 3-4 day North America trips as required
