PRODUCT REVIEW - Aras Enterprise Open Source PLM Solution
Over the past couple months Jeff Cope at Extensible CAD Technologies has been doing a detailed product review of Aras for the ConnectPress CAD community sites including CATIA, Inventor, Pro/E, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, and UGS Communities.

Jeff's recent write-up is a pretty thorough overview of the solution functionality and includes some background history on Aras, the company and the solution.

He opens the write-up by wondering, "As I reviewed the Aras enterprise PLM solution suite I thought how is this possible? How can Aras have developed such a comprehensive solution? How have they avoided the pitfalls that plague other PLM systems? How come it's so easy to use? And how can this suite of solutions be open source and free?"

Find out what Jeff learned are the answers to these questions and more (hint; think open innovation), as well as, getting a fairly detailed evaluation report on Aras.

Just go to any of the ConnectPress CAD Community sites and click on the 'Most Read' tab.
