Hi all, The update on part table for the field item_number creates some problem for our business rules. Any help on it is highly appreciated. Whenever the item_number field is updated a new record gets inserted with a new ID. Can you let me know why this happens. Also is there a way to avoid this. As we require the ID field not to change for the updated Item_number record.

Hi, Could make out that the part was set as versionable and so the new insertion. Is there any down fall in setting part as non-versionable?
