Hi,

within the lifecycle transition and state there is a "Configure E-Mail" link. This can be used to send E-Mails to users which are involved by this lifecycle step.

A different option is to write a piece of Code (servermethod) and add this as within the lifecycle (Pre- / Post- Servermethod) on the transistion
