The Microsoft Office Connector for Aras makes extending your PLM system to non-technical users easy and approachable. The Office Connector combines the best of both systems: the familiar user interface of Office with the PLM power of Aras, making it a great solution for both technical and business users.

The Aras Office Connector puts strong emphasis on document type control. Each document type can have different numbering rules and templates assigned to it. Based upon the type of document you’re creating, you can link it to other objects within Aras. And the Connector is configurable by the administrator to fit your business processes. For the business end user, all they have to do is choose from a drop down list what type of document he/she is creating.
