Hi Ashok,

I'll just show you where to find the information on that one.

Go into the online help to understand how you can manage ItemTypes properties and related forms. It is really important to learn that before trying to make changes.

Simple process for your request is:

1. Add a property to the itemtype definition

2. Edit the related form

3. Add your properties input tool which should be now listed in "unused properties".

The Aras Innovator help is very well documented to understand how the system works each section have a long description to explain the main concepts that you need to understand how the system works. Most of your answers will be there.

Best,

Yoann

Hi Ashok,

You can add as many different properties (fields) as you want to any Item Type (like Customer).

Under the Administration tab on the Table of Contents select "Item Types" Search for "Customer". Right click and select "Edit".

On the "Properties" tab (first tab on the left) you can add new properties.

Once you have done this and saved it you can add fields (input boxes) onto the form that the Item Type (Customer) uses.

Go to the "Forms" option under the Administration tab on the Table of Contents. Search for "Customer". Edit.

There is a tool bar 1/3 of the way down the form which includes an "Unused Properties" dropdown. Click this and select the Property that you want to display to the user and to collect the data for.

Drag it to where you want it on the form.

Save the form. Go to "Portfolio" on the Table of Contents menu. Select "Customers". Create a new Customer. The new fields you just put on the form should now be there.

Fill the data in and it will save when you save the new item.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Brian.
