Good morning,
for a student research project I want to run ARAS Innovator on my private computer without using a server/client architecture. Is there an installation guide how to do that? I just want to try out the client part. Is there an easy way?

Xp? Windows 7? Very easy, many prople run Innovator on a laptop or desktop for development purposes. Quick hints: make sure IIS is enabled and running first. By default, it is disabled on desktops. Then install SqlServer Express for a database, run all the windows updates, and then install Aras Innovator.

Thanks a lot for your answer. I use XP, enabled IIS, installed SQL Server, ran all updates and installed ARAS following the installation guide. Everything worked fine, but when I want to open ARAS in the Internet Explorer8 (localhost/.../) i get a http500 error telling me that the website cant be shown. any ideas?

I think the problem is my IIS server. I installed it, but i cant even see something when I type http://localhost/ in the Internet Explorer. When I check the TaskManager the process the inetinfo.exe process is running and there is also the folder c:/inetpub/wwwroot is also there..
