I have to delete a document only through ECN. If i delete it directly, it should not delete. For deleting, we have to create a ECN, and add that document in affected items, whose action must be delete. Can anyone provide a solution for this.
If im trying to delete a document which is added in affected items, It is not deleting. it is showing a error " Document cannot be deleted. It is used in Affected Item affected_id 82CCC3876DD746DC933D8F50D15013C8.ItemMethods: PurgeItemEx2: Document cannot be deleted. It is used in Affected Item.affected_id 82CCC3876DD746DC933D8F50D15013C8 ".... I have to remove this error, Can any one provide a solution for this...?

Hi,
the error message you get results from your attempt to remove the metadata of the document, i.e. selecting the document in the grid and
- either right click and select 'delete'
- choose edit->delete from menu
This is possible only if there are no relations from that document to any other object in the database (Part, ECN Project,...).
Using an ECN (Action: DELETE) it is possible to indicate a document shouldn't be used anymore by bringing it to state 'Superseded' (in standard Document LifeCycle). Again, this requires to have it in 'Released' state before by a previous ECN (Action ADD).

Looking into Administration->User Messages and filter text for *deleted* I can see 2 matches which are the ones displayed in your case.
These are Innovator Core error messages - no individual ones - and you might edit these, but in order to supress these, diving deeper into core code would be necessary, I think.
Better ask support@aras if you really need changes here...
