Hi guys,
I managed to install Innovator with no hitches however when I try to run it in IE8 I just get a blank page that repeatedly says connecting during redirecting stage.
I've installed Innovator before but never encountered this issue, I was wondering if anyone could help me out.

In fact now when I try to login via localhost/.../InnovatorServer.aspx I get the following error:

Hi,
Does the database mentioned in the database dropdown menu of the login screen exist? If no, open C:Program FilesArasInnovatorInnovatorServerConfig.xml and adjust the <DB-Connection ....> line to include an existing database. If yes, is SQLServer up and running? (can you connect to it through Management Studio?).

Hi Ronan,
I have yet to see the login screen appear, I get the error listed in my second post when I try to visit the URL, the innovator login screen doesn't show up.
I am able to connect to SQLServer through Management Studio. One thing I do noticed in Management Studio is that SQL Server Agent is not running, I am not sure if this will be relevant. I have tried starting it but I get an error also.
This is the line from my .xml:
<DB-Connection id="InnovatorSolutions" database="InnovatorSolutions" server="(local)" uid="innovator" pwd="innovator" dbType="SQL Server" />
which is all correct as far as I am aware.

Oh, I misread your initial post. You are just trying to connect through an invalid URL!
You should not use localhost/.../InnovatorServer.aspx , but localhost/.../

When I follow the link I'm met with a redirect which as far as I remember should load me into the Innovator login, however I get an error during this process:
And the redirect page continues to sit blank.
Not sure if this is something wrong with my installation or with IE.

Try this workaround. You can also try to open localhost/.../Innovator.aspx
