Hi,
for test purposes I'm trying to get Aras Innovator server running on a Windows XP SP3 PC. Windows XP SP3 is shipped with IIS 5.1 that is not supported by Aras. Therefore I tried to use IIS 7.5 Express that supports Windows XP.
The installation of Aras Innovator has been finished without errors.
I then started IIS 7.5 Express with the following command line:
iisexpress.exe /path:"C:Program FilesArasInnovator" /port:8081
When I open now the URL localhost:8081/Innovator I get the following error message:
Server Error in '/' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed.
Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on the local server machine, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "RemoteOnly". To enable the details to be viewable on remote machines, please set "mode" to "Off".
Some of my ideas about the problem:
- Perhaps problem of IIS 7.5 Expres that it does not support virtual directories that I have to type in during the installation?
- IIS 7.5 Express needs the .NET framework 4.0 - perhaps conflict between installed frameworks .NET 3.5 and 4.0?
Any idea or help is highly appreaciatetd!
