Hello all,
I created a revision list 01-99 and associated it with the item type 'document'.
However, when I go through a change/release cycle, the revision is not increased to the next level. Are there any other items/properties/methods that I have to create to make this work?

figured it out ...
The increment does only occur when a released item is modified and saved again, which puts it back into 'preliminary' state automatically. Thus, this only works if the released item is lockable.
I.e. there is no need for a loop back in the life cycle that allows editing of an item. Actually it is not desireable, as the revision does not increment once the item is taken out of 'released' state.
Hope this helps somebody else, who may have pulled his/hers hair out over this.
