DEVELOPERS FORUM - Method Not Found error on Innovator Logon

imitchell - Friday, August 12, 2011 7:13 AM:

After doing a fresh install (using existing BD) but I get an error box with the message below when I attempt to logon onto the Aras Innovator client.

>>>>>

Method not found: 'Boolean Aras.IOME.ItemCache.SetItem (System.Collections.ArrayList, System.Xml.XMLElement)'

>>>>>

I can click OK and continue on but I get the same error when I do browse the various Innovator folders on the left of the screen.

On Windows 2003 Server

Thanks,

Ian

A little bump here...

I've noticed that initial Aras installs work ok (there are no "method no found" errors while using the Aras GUI).

But after I add my own software that accesses the IOM.DLL (for access by a different web app), the  Aras interface runs into that problem.  So I assume I must be clobbering .NET or IIS in relation to Aras.  Incidently, that external access functionality works fine after I load it (but it clobber the Aras GUI).

One thing I was told to do by our previous Aras guy was to run gacutil on IOM.DLL and workflow.DLL, does that ring true with guy?

I'm hardly a Windows guy so I am reaching out- any thoughts on any of this?
