SUPPORT Q&A - Aras Innovator Client has failed to initialize

bbielby23 - Monday, August 15, 2011 11:41 AM:

I have gotten the Innovator to work beautifully from the PC i originally installed the server on and everything. When I go to access it from another computer, or in this case laptop, I get the following error:

Aras Innovator Client has failed to initialize.

Pleas, contact your system administrator to review you .NET Security Settings.

I have gone through every document on this and have found my error in one of the troubleshooting sections and have tried their solution multiple times. Someone please help ASAP!

On the client machine that you are trying to access Innovator from:

Run the SDNS.exe tool from a local directory not a network directory

Run the SDNS.exe tool as Administrator (Windows 7 right click and select "run as administrator" even if you are a local admin)

Put the Server URL (where Innovator is installed) in the "Trusted Sites" of Internet Explorer on the client machine.

For Innovator 9.3 Client machine must have .NET 3.51 or later

For Innovator 9.3 Client machine must have MSXML4

If the client machine is a 64bit machine make sure you are running IE 32bit NOT 64bit

See how you go with that.

Cheers,

Brian.
