INNOVATOR FRAMEWORK - Customizing Online Help

ashhadvv - Thursday, August 18, 2011 3:26 AM:

Hi,

I want to customize the existing online help using Adobe RoboHelp 7.

From where I can download the RoboHelp project file(.xpj) for the existing online help..?

Anybody please suggest

I am not sure, but I have thought myself that the help could use a little help ;)

Actually, when I took a closer look at the help, I sort of figured the same thing could have been done in plain HTML, but then again maybe there is some value in RoboHelp that I am not aware of. I never really used it before. Anyway, sorry I don't have the answer you are looking for, but I could see the value in a pure HTML help section. I have just found too many broken links and not really useful information in the help as it exists.

Hi Eric,

I tried editing HTML files, but images are not coming with proper clarity. And I don't know how to edit the TOC in this way

Yeah, not sure. I just sort of avoid that help for the most part. I spent a lot of time at first just digging in as deep as I could to understand the core architecture, and at some point I'll start creating more personal notes as sort of cheat sheets that I can use for my own use. Aras has an interesting data model, it just took me some time to get my head wrapped around some stuff. Since I am technically not a coder, it limits some aspects of customizations, but I am not shying away from understand how a lot of the code "glues" together the data model and certain functionality. The way I am starting to look at Aras is a place to centrally store all kinds of data, and the extensible data model allows for some creativity in that area.
