Hi All
At first time we login to the Innovator System it is rather slow.
After the first login the charging speed is good.
We saw that Client pc sends NBNS packets "Name query NB crl.thawte.com" first to the server and then in broadcast.
During login page charging operations, it freezes for about 8-10 sec until this NBNS packets/requests ends and then page charging continue.
This happens also during the first time opening the part search grid and the Part page.
If we don't use ARAS for a while this happens one more time.
Should ARAS server be connected to internet?
We have the server and client PCs on a network without internet connection.
Can you give me please some information about this operation?
It is possible disable this requests.

Just a shot in the dark, but could it be a caching problem? This framework has inherently high c/s traffic, but that seems abnormally slow.
Our IT department forces the "delete temporary internet files on close" IE setting down our throats, and it causes a significant performance hit on initial login.

Can you tell me why if we don't use aras for some time (20 min perhaps) the first time we open a part, it takes about 15 sec for open completly the window.
After first part opening, if we open another part in short time it take 3-5 sec?
is there any timeout or something like this?

We have made an another test on an older win2000 PC and we loose about 55-60 seconds on request from we input server url and open an part. On this pc there are about 100 requests from we input server url and open an part. Please.. Can someone help me about this. These NBNS "Name query NB crl.thawte.com" packets slows very much our work speed. Thank You Stjepan

Hi,
it was the "check for publishers revocation certificate"
under Internet optins --> TAB Advanced --> Section Security
when we uncheck it the opening time of the pages is greatly improved.
We pass from 60 seconds for login to 10-15 on some old PCs.
