Hi,
I'm completely new to Aras and I'm having trouble opening my Pro Engineer file from within Aras.
I have created a CAD document and associated my part file with that document. In Windows I have associated the crrect file type to the file extension. But when I click on the native file name, ProE opens, but the file part is not opened in it.
Any idea why?

BTW, My Aras install is completely new and free from any configuration etc.

Hi Jeff,
I am able to do this just fine with other CAD systems like SolidWorks and Inventor, it may be a Pro/E-specific issue. FYI, to really effectively work with native CAD files in Aras I recommend you use an Aras CAD Connector, which you can find described here: www.aras.com/.../plm-solution.aspx
