I installed ARAS onto our server and from the main server box everything works fine even logging in from the IE browser etc..
I am now trying to run it from a client machine connected to our network with access to that server. I have altered the IE according to the ARAS doc and also ran the .NET configuration tool as directed by ARAS on that client machine
i.e. I type in the URL "http://<servername>/InnovatorServer" and pressed OK. I checked the log file and it was updated successfully. So, I have done the steps accordingly.
But when I type in the address in IE I keep getting confronted by:
* ARAS INNOVATOR CLIENT HAS FAILED TO INITIALIZE
* PLEASE, CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR TO REVIEW YOUR .NET SECURITY SETTINGS
I tried to run this from a Win7Pro machine, also ran all the relevant configs on a Vista and XP machine but still getting the same error.
Does anyone have any previous experiences in regards to this i.e. they may have had to change something on the server side rather than tweaking something on the client side?
Many thanks for any kind of assistance.

Most common causes for this:
first Innovator 9.3 requires:
MSXML 4.0
.NET 3.5
Have you entered the website into the Trusted Sites of IE? this is probably the single most common error.
Also make sure you enter the site as Http NOT Https.
Are you running a 64bit system?
You need to ensure that you are running IE 32bit not 64bit
Run the .Net config tool as "Run as Administrator" from a local drive not a network drive.
Hope this helps.

Bryan,
Thanks for the post. It is now solved. It was a combination of using HTTP instead of HTTPS and needing to install msxml4 (SP3). Now the client seems to work ok.
Cheers
