It would be helpful if you could give a description of the circumstances of the error, otherwise you probably won't get much help.
Also please don't use caps lock for your whole post, it makes it horrible to read.

Thanks for your suggestion, When i run ECN then versioning error comes. Actually i make an item type and when i make document using login credential admin and innovator as username and password then no error comes but when we login from another account and we run an ecn then an error comes name VERSIONING ERROR that we are unable to understand that what is this error.
so please keep me out of this.

Hi Adam Strachan,
I am also facing the same error- "Error versioning : item name"
This error comes when i complete the "Planning" activity of ECN lifecycle. I did following things
1 Create an Itemtype -PE Documents.
2. Create a document using "PE Documents" from user "A".
3. Released this document.
4. Create an ECN , and use this document in ECN. I create this ECN from user "A" login. And submit this ECN.
5. Now user "B" has to planned this ECN.So i went to his inbasket and try to complete the "PLANNING" activity. ("B" is CSII member)
This is the stage where i got this error says- "Error in versioning: Document name".
I am not able to figure out that where is problem. I already check the Versioning box during itemtype creation. so there should be no problem for automatic versioning,according to me.
There is also 1 thing that if i am creating document from user 'A" and performing all activities(except update document) from user "A" login then this versioning error does not comes.
So, If you have any idea that what i am missing or doing something wrong then plz share it.
