I'm completely new to Aras, but have been asked to assess Aras for a trade study we are doing to replace our manual change management and action tracking processes with an automated workflow solution.
The problem is that we already have Documentum implemented and enough money has been invested, that it is staying.
Are the Aras solutions modular? Could we use Aras workflow capabilities with Documentum as the repository? Anybody have any experience with this? Thanks!

Sounds like a regret ! Never too late to save money...
Ok sorry for that. In terms of is it possible to use it as modules, or I would say features and capabilities, yes Aras is providing access to its BPM, datamodel, Item versionning, vaulting,... through either the webservices or the API. So the question is always on the other side, are you able to create custom methods in Documentum in order to call these webservices? If not, you have one more argument against Documentum.
Good luck!
