DEVELOPERS FORUM - Add attachment to an itemType

Hi,

I think all is in the title, I have an itemType and I want to be able to add some attachment to it.

I have seen that it's possible when I create a "Document" but I don't understand how and I not able to do the same for my itemType.

Can someone help me?

Flo, To manage files, you can use the 'File' Item type and create a relationship to your Item Type where you need the files/attachments feature. 'Document File' is the relationship type between 'Document' and 'File' Item Type that enables this feature on a Document. Hope this will help. Thanks, Pravin

Thanks it help me but I have an issue.

I have create a relationship between my itemType and 'File' but when i try to add a File/attachment I have the following popup

and not this one 

Is there something to setup?

Hi Florent,

Just under relationship tab there is list options 'Pick Related,Create Related'

if list value is 'Pick Related' and click New Relationship then Search Dialog will display as per 

first screen shot is posted in above post.

( means Existing created File Items you can select and relate to your ItemType.)

If list value is 'Create Related' and click New Relationship then File Dialog will display where you can 

select the file and relate to ItemType.
