SUPPORT Q&A - log in process issue

wings - Monday, March 10, 2008 5:18 PM:

Hi, I've installed the server on a Windows 2003 standard. Completed everything according to the manual. I can log into Innovator from the server locally by opening a browser. But I can not do that from a client machine. When I type in the address and hit enter, it simply return me to the original page, there was no pop-up window generated for the login interface. I have checked everything and nothing was found to be wrong. Did I miss anything?

My client environment is IE7 and .NET 2.0 (still has the 1.1 installed). I've run the client configuration tool comes with the package as well.

 Thanks for help!

I think you gave your own answer.

Do you have a pop-up blocker running on the client?

Okay, next question have you followed the recommended setting for IE?

Bill posted an updated set of recommended settings in the following post:

The full documentation can be found at http://www.aras.com/support/documentation/documentation.aspx

Yes. I followed both documents.

Today I foiund out that it was probably my computer setting issue. My IE simply don't respond to the pop-up window setting anymore. I could do it with other computers.

Thanks anyways.
