Hi,
I' m trying to send E-mails(notifications added to the workflow activities) using our server to the Aras users locally. I added our SMTP server to the InnovatorServerConfig.xml file. But when I try to send an E-mail ,the process throwing an error says: "mailbox unavailable. the server response was access denied - invalid HELO name".
Any other settings need to be done to send an E-mail? Please help me.

Ensure the the "admin" User has a valid email address.
The message sounds like it is from your SMTP server, try accessing your mail server using telnet from your Aras Innovator server to check if the SMPT server configuration allows remote access from your Aras server (often security is set to deny access except from specific machines).

Hi Dave, I' m able to send E-mails using telnet connection. I checked my SMTP server using the telnet, outside the Aras it is working fine.But when I try in Aras,I' m getting the above error.
How to check whether the server configuration allows remote access from Aras Innovator or not . Where can I find the security settings?
