DEVELOPERS FORUM - multiple levels of TOC folders

Pat Madigan - Wednesday, January 2, 2013 11:58 AM:

There is an enhancement in Innovator 9.3.0 Service Pack 5 which is described as follows:

"Provided a simple method to modify TOC Categories, and allow multiple levels of folders in the TOC of the main window."

This sounds great.  Could someone please point me towards the documentation that describes how to make this work?

thanks,

Pat

Hello Pat,

You can configure the hierarchy folder using "/".

1. Open "Categories" item from List item type, and add a new value include "/". ex) "Library/FMEA".

2. Open the specified item type which you want to show multiple level of folder. ex) "APQP Effect Catalog"

3. Activate "TOC" tab on the item type and change the category value to new value which you added step 1. ex) "Library/FMEA"

Then you will see the item type shows in multiple level of folder in your TOC structure.

Thanks

That works, thank you Boro.

I also found that, using your example, if we use a Label of "FMEA", and a Value of "Library/FMEA", it won't show Library twice in the TOC folders.

thanks,

Pat
